Shantae
The genius girl Shantae is the self-appointed guardian of the small fishing village of Scuttle Town. As she lives in a lighthouse rather than a bottle, she is constantly on the lookout for danger. When the nefarious pirate lady Risky Boots gets wind of the treasure that has recently been unearthed in the village, she launches an attack. To help Scuttle out of trouble, Shantae must prove that she is the rightful "Guardian of the Djinn" by showing off her dancing, buying and hair-whipping skills. Now crack the whip!
Story
A pirate gang, the Tinkerbats, led by Risky Boots, raids Scuttle Town and steals the prototype steam engine from Mimic, the town's treasure hunter. Mimic tells Shantae, the guardian of Scuttle Town, that she can power the steam engine and make it an unstoppable weapon if Risky obtains four magical "elemental stones." Shantae travels through Sequin Land, determined to get the steam engine and the elemental stones and stop Risky. With the help of her friends Bolo and Sky and her acquaintance Rottytops, she gains access to three dungeons where she finds three of the stones. In the fourth dungeon, Shantae finds the fourth stone, but is ambushed at the exit by Risky, who disappears with the stones. Using a magical flying telescope, the Sky Scope, Shantae finds Risky's hiding place and teleports there. Shantae reaches and destroys Risky's weapon, the Tinker Tank. Risky tries to kill Shantae but is defeated and when Risky's lair collapses, Shantae escapes. She is then magically whisked away to the Djinn realm, where the Djinn offer her to stay with them as a reward for her courage, but at the price of never seeing her friends again. She refuses and is sent back to Scuttle Town, where she tells Mimic that she had to destroy the steam engine, but is relieved when she hears from him that it was probably for the best.
