Serpent
Serpent (かこむん蛇 Kakomunja) is a Game Boy snake game developed exclusively for the North American and Japanese markets. In the future, there is a sport called Serpent. Two fighters in snake-like robotic machines try to box each other to win the fight. The snakes are so detailed that they are not just one line, which gives the game a more realistic feel. Each snake has a certain number of lives, and losing a life means losing the war. The message that the game is over is a simple one that represents "the bitter taste of defeat" with an animated image of a crying snake and melancholic music in waltz rhythm. There are two modes with four difficulty levels; level 1 is considered the easiest (normal speed and opponent performance), while level 4 is the hardest (high speed and opponents who want to cheat death). In the first mode, players can simply take on an opponent, while in the second mode, a series of small snakes appear when players take too long to conquer a level. Rockets can be launched when the player collects them on the playing field. White numbers help the player develop a longer body, while black numbers make the body shorter. Missiles can make the opponent either faster (black missiles) or slower (white missiles). If you win 7 of the 13 possible matches, the player automatically becomes the "Champion of Snakes".
