SegaSonic the Hedgehog

SegaSonic the Hedgehog is an isometric platform game with three characters whose controls and abilities are identical. The characters are controlled with an action button, which allows the player to perform a spin jump, and a trackball, which is used to move the characters. Each trackball and its corresponding action button are color-coded, i.e. the blue buttons are for Sonic, the red for Mighty, and the yellow for Ray. The objective of the game is to reach the end of an isometric course without dying. This objective is similar to other video games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. However, it also differs in that it's not a typical jump'n'run game, but rather a game about escaping as quickly as possible on a linear course from a never-ending flood of threats such as huge boulders, lava flows, rogue gears, falling stalactites and other traps. When the player is hit by a dangerous obstacle or hazard, he/she loses health from the health meter, which can be replenished by collecting rings found in the arena. After completing a level, the number of rings collected is counted. Extra points are awarded if more than half of the rings in the level have been found. The game has few enemies and a boss that appears in the middle of the game. At the end of the last level, the player has twenty seconds to escape from the self-destructing tower. If this is not successful, the game is over immediately.
