Sega GT 2002
Sega GT 2002 is a racing simulation video game published by Sega. It is the sequel to the racing game Sega GT by Wow Entertainment, which was released in 2002. The game was originally intended to be released for the Dreamcast, but when the Dreamcast was discontinued in 2001, the game was reprogrammed for the Xbox. After its original release as a retail game, it was given away on a disc with Jet Set Radio Future in specially marked Xbox console packages. The following year, Sega released Sega GT Online with additional cars and an online feature for Xbox Live. Although it was an Xbox exclusive, the series later died out, so the Forza Motorsport series was released for Xbox starting in 2005 and later received sequels to rival the Gran Turismo series. Sega GT 2002 introduced many innovative features, many of which were later adopted by other games of this type.
