Secret of Evermore

Secret of Evermore is another famous RPG developed and published by Square in 1995. The visit to the movies of a boy and his dog becomes an adventure that spans several time periods and places. On their journey, they discover the secret of Evermore and find their way home. The soundtrack to Evermore was produced by Square's North American branch and was the first major work by Jeremy Soule, the famous Elder Scrolls composer.

Story

In Dr. Sidney Ruffleberg's old, dilapidated mansion, a boy and his dog stumble upon a mysterious machine. By chance, they are hurled into Evermore, a former utopia that has now become a confusing and deadly world. A world of prehistoric jungles, ancient civilizations, medieval kingdoms and futuristic cities. During his odyssey, the boy must master a variety of weapons, learn to use the powers of alchemy and find powerful allies to fight the diabolical monsters of Evermore. In addition, his dog masters shape-shifting to help him in his quest. But even if they muster enough skill and courage, even if they discover the mysterious clues, they can only find their way home by unraveling the mystery of Evermore.
