Samurai Warriors

Samurai Warriors is the first title in the hack-and-slash video game series developed by Koei's Omega Force team, loosely based on the Sengoku ("Warring States") period of Japanese history, and is a sister series to the Dynasty Warriors series. In Samurai Warriors, the player takes on the role of a single officer and must fend off hordes of enemy soldiers and defeat the opposing commander. A series of combo attacks and special moves known as Musou attacks are available to the player. The variety of attacks available increases as the character levels up and acquires more superior weapons. The game offers a total of 15 characters based on historical figures from the time of the Japanese ring states.
