Ridge Racer 7
Ridge Racer 7 is the seventh installment of the Ridge Racer racing game series, released for the PlayStation 3. The game has about 40 cars, many of which return from Ridge Racer 6 and the PSP versions of the game. There are also 22 tracks that can be raced in forward, reverse and mirror modes. The game runs in 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second. It also features Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and free online gameplay via the PlayStation Network. The game was first revealed in a teaser trailer at E3 2006, and the first trailer with gameplay footage was shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2006. As with many other games in the series, there is also a full-motion video opening starring Reiko Nagase. The game has since been re-released under Sony's "Platinum" and "The Best" budget lines. In October 2010, a patch titled "Ridge Racer 7 3D License Version" was released, allowing Ridge Racer 7 to be played in 3D.
