Return to Zork

Story

The player's character is a lottery winner who wins a package trip to the Valley of Sparrows in Zork. Upon arrival, however, the player quickly learns that the entire area is under a dark and sinister influence and is dilapidated and non-functional. Entire buildings have mysteriously disappeared, murderous vultures populate the land, people frequently have disturbing nightmares in which a dark entity calling itself Morphius appears, and many of the survivors have become reclusive and paranoid. The player must survive countless dangers as he/she explores the valley, investigates the causes of the forces that have gripped the land, and finally puts a stop to them.
