Resident Evil Gaiden

Resident Evil Gaiden is a Resident Evil game for the Game Boy Color. It isn't part of the canon, since its storyline contradicts the main series in important parts and its events are ignored. In the game there are three playable characters and the objective is to explore areas, collect items and fight enemies in the process. Unlike previous installments in the series, in Resident Evil Gaiden parts of the environment are shown in a top-down perspective, which when approaching an enemy switches to a first-person combat mode with a crosshair that constantly moves left and right. To attack, the player must press the action button while the crosshairs are in range of the enemy.
