Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is a boxing game for the Dreamcast, PlayStation and Nintendo 64 and was published by Midway in 1999. The success of the Dreamcast version led it to become one of the few Sega All Stars titles. As in Nintendo's Punch-Out!! series, there are many characters with dazzling personalities (e.g. Afro Thunder, Boris "The Bear" Knokimov, etc.); however, unlike the Punch-Out!! series, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is in 3D, which allows better control over your character in the ring and allows players to choose fighters at will. During in-game fights, there is a special RUMBLE meter that fills up letter by letter until the word "RUMBLE" is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Letters are obtained by successfully landing hard punches or taunting your opponent. Once the meter is full, the player can recharge and then have access to a special move called "Rumble Flurry" that can instantly incapacitate the opponent. A unique graphical feature of the game are the gradual bruises that the player gets during combat (such as hematomas and swellings), which are present in all versions of the fifth generation. Although this isn't necessarily a new feature for games (it was already implemented in SNK's 1992 game Art of Fighting), it was highly praised by critics for the additional fun factor that this element gives the game
