R.C. Pro-Am
In an isometric overhead perspective, a single player drives a remote-controlled car over a series of tracks. The goal of each track is to qualify for the next race by finishing in the top three drivers. Players collect items to improve their performance and must avoid a number of hazards such as rain puddles and oil spills. It is an example of a racing game that includes vehicle battles, in which racers can use rockets and bombs to temporarily disable opposing vehicles. The game differs from previous racing games in that it uses an overhead rather than first-person perspective. It has been cited in reviews as an inspiration for later games such as Super Off Road, Rock n' Roll Racing and the Mario Kart series. It has been included in many "top games of all time" lists and is considered one of the best titles in the NES library.
