Raiders of the Broken Planet
The game is released as a series of standalone campaigns that can be played in any order. The Prologue is the base of the game, containing 2 full missions, and will be permanently free when the game is released. The first campaign, Alien Myths, will be available for purchase on the same day. It contains new characters and missions with a story that further expands the game world. A total of 4 campaigns have been announced, which will be playable in any order. The game is a short campaign based co-op shooter with multiple missions interconnected. There is a 4v1 game mode that pits your team against a random online opponent who also uses one of the game's playable characters and interferes with your missions.
Story
"An incredible discovery on one of Saturn's moons leads a group of people to a destroyed planet in the far reaches of the universe. There exists an energy source called Aleph, which gives ultimate power to whoever controls it.... However, after being trapped on the planet, the humans split into different factions and fight among themselves for supremacy and control over the Aleph. The peaceful inhabitants of the planet decide that enough is enough, and a hero emerges among them, hoping to lead his people to freedom... By nefarious means and taking advantage of the disunity in the ranks of the people, Harec recruits a motley group of rogues, outlaws and hitmen from the various factions and sets them against those who want to destroy his people... As they begin to fight back against the human invaders, the Raiders soon find themselves confronted with a deadly new threat that wants to make the entire universe burn, just for kicks...."
