R-Type Final

Like other games in the R-Type series, the game is a scrolling shooter in which you have to steer a spaceship through various sections and destroy the many enemies (including very large bosses). The game offers a large selection of spaceships (over 100!), all of which have different abilities. No matter which ship you choose, you start the game with limited firepower: you can fire a simple weapon or hold down a button to charge it up and fire a more powerful shot. Occasionally, power-ups will appear on screen that you can collect to equip your ship with additional weapons, including a variety of lasers, missiles and other useful items. In addition to the normal game, there is also an AI VS mode. In this mode, you can set one of your available space fighters to be controlled by the computer and then fight against it to see who wins in the various battles.
