Quake
Quake is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by GT Interactive in 1996. The music is by Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. It is the first game in the popular Quake series. In the game, players have to make their way through various maze-like medieval environments, fighting a variety of monsters with a wide range of weapons.
Story
The player takes on the role of a protagonist named Ranger, who has been sent into a portal to stop an enemy codenamed "Quake". The government had been experimenting with teleportation technology and developed a working prototype called "Slipgate". The mysterious Quake compromised the Slipgate by linking it to his own teleportation system and using it to send death squads into the "human" dimension to test humanity's combat capabilities.
