Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary
Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary was developed by Sonic Team to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Puyo Puyo. It revives both the rules of the arcade games Puyo Puyo and Puyo Puyo Tsu, as well as six characters from the Madou Monogatari era of the series. It was released in 2006 for Nintendo DS and in 2007 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Wii. This game was followed by Puyo Puyo 7.
Story
Ms. Accord, the teacher at Primp Magic School, informs Sig that a tournament is coming up in which anyone can participate; the reward is a medal that can be used to fulfill a single wish. Another scene shows Amitie and Arle agreeing to play by the rules, and Sig, still as clueless as ever, finally agrees, but not before witnessing six comets crashing to earth. Sig realizes this is a big discovery, but decides to ignore it anyway and goes to the contest. It turns out that the "comets" are actually six familiar characters from the Madou series who serve as boss characters in the story modes.
