Power Stone 2
is a multiplayer fighting game that builds on the innovative gameplay of its predecessor Power Stone. In Power Stone 2, up to four players can choose from several characters and use items such as tables, chairs and rocks in battle. There are four different modes for the game 1-on-1: Similar to the original Power Stone, a game with two characters and one story. Arcade: A game with four characters, where two characters progress each round. Original: Multiplayer mode, with free choice of characters and phases. Adventure: An unpredictable storyline game in which players can collect items, cards and money. Power Stone 2 starts with five interactive 3D stages and two boss stages, which you can also reach in the original mode. Apart from the original mode, everything runs like a storyline: Two battles are fought on the regular stages, followed by the Pharaoh Walker boss, then another battle and finally Dr. Erode's boss stage. Three additional stages can be unlocked for the original mode if you meet certain requirements in arcade mode, as well as a stage in the desert, which is essentially the Pharaoh Walker boss stage but without the boss. Although each player has their own standard ground and air attacks, the character can perform more powerful fusion attacks after collecting three power stones and transforming. Power Stone 2 offers no way to block, but if you tap the directional pad just before an enemy attacks, you can dodge. Most phases are dynamic and change as the battle progresses. The airplane phase, for example, begins with a warplane. After a certain amount of time, the plane breaks apart, forcing all players to parachute to the ground. Shortly afterwards, the players fall onto a floating platform on which the rest of the battle takes place. In this way, three subsections are created within a single section. Each stage is also littered with item boxes, which contain a random item that the player has acquired and unlocked in adventure mode or created in the item store. They may also contain Power Stones. The items are extremely varied. Damaging items include guns, flamethrowers, giant hammers, a wide range of swords, bear traps, roller skates and even a magazine that can be thrown. Items that do no damage include food that replenishes health, shields for defense, elixirs for invisibility, glue sprays that slow down your enemies, and wings for extra jumps. Cards that allow you to shuffle items can also be found in adventure mode. In addition, most levels have their own collection of unique items and gadgets for the player to use. In the submarine level, for example, there are turrets, small planes that drop bombs and icebergs that you can throw at your opponents. Each level is also very interactive, as players can use many of the stage elements themselves. All players can also gain extra height by jumping off a wall.
