Pokémon White

Pokémon White Version and Pokémon Black Version are the primary paired versions of Generation V. Black and White follow the trends set in the previous games in the series. Two player characters (a man and a woman) travel through a new region, Unova, on their Pokémon journeys. This region is inhabited by different Pokémon, and unlike in the predecessors, none of the Pokémon that were available before Generation V can be obtained until the main story is completed by defeating Team Plasma. The names of the games were revealed on the official Japanese Pokémon website on April 9, 2010, and scans from the following issue of the magazine were leaked the following day, April 10. Pokémon Black and White will be followed by two sequels in 2012, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, set two years after the events of Black and White. Black 2 and White 2 are the second and last paired version of Generation V.
