Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle

Pitfall 3D is a 3D platformer in which players guide Pitfall Harry Jr. (the son of the original Pitfall! hero, voiced by B-movie king Bruce Campbell) through a variety of locations, from the South American jungle to the ruins of the Moku civilization that lie beyond a dimensional rift. Some old obstacles and enemies make an appearance, such as tar pits that can open up under Harry and swallow him, ubiquitous scorpions and old acquaintances like rolling logs and handy vines that can be found all over the jungle. But there are also new dangers, such as the sinister flying darters, and new wonders, such as the gravity-defying Lucense, to marvel at. Harry Jr. gets around in the same way as his father - he can dodge, jump over obstacles and give attackers a thrashing with his trusty pickaxe. The goal is to guide Harry Jr. through 11 levels to find out what happened to the Moku civilization, and eventually get into a confrontation with the powerful Scourge holding this alternate dimension hostage. Oh, and Harry might want to pick up a few treasures along the way too - just like dear old dad.
