Phantom Dust
Phantom Dust is a video game for the Xbox console. It was developed by Microsoft Game Studios and produced and directed by Yukio Futatsugi, director of the critically acclaimed Panzer Dragoon for Sega Saturn. It was licensed for release in the U.S. by Majesco. Phantom Dust is a pseudo-card based action/strategy game in which the player collects abilities (over 300 in total) and engages in missions to try to figure out why the Earth is in the state it is in. Players build "arsenals" (similar to decks of cards) from their acquired abilities and then use them in combat against other players. The game combines strategy and action elements in a game that requires both mental and reflective skills. The game continues to be a cult hit. Xbox Live servers no longer support online multiplayer for Phantom Dust and all other original Xbox games.
