Phantasy Star Zero is set on an alternate Earth 200 years after the Great Brute, a massive war that reduced the once-thriving civilization to almost nothing. The only surviving humans have worked hard to exist peacefully, building thriving cities. The people who roam the outskirts of these cities are called hunters. They explore the vast wilderness and hunt dangerous monsters to protect the cities. Players take on the role of hunters and choose from three different races, classes and genders, making a total of 14 customizable character types. Each character type plays very differently and gives players access to a wide variety of items, armor and weapons. With over 350 unique weapons, players will explore the Earth, fight dangerous monsters to gain experience and meet new main characters. As they continue to explore, players will uncover the secret of the Great Void and discover a dangerous new force that must be stopped.
