Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is a role-playing game developed by Atlus and chronologically the third part of the Persona series. Eternal Punishment is set in the fictional Japanese city of Sumaru and is a direct sequel to Persona 2: Innocent Sin. The game is set a year after Innocent Sin and follows reporter Maya Amamo, who investigates the Joker Curse, a malicious phenomenon in which people's wishes and rumors come true and cause chaos. During her investigation, she and others who join her acquire the ability to summon Personas, personified aspects of their personalities. The game features turn-based combat, in which the characters use their Personas to fight demons, and a separate rumor system, in which rumors spread around the city can influence events in the characters' favor.
