Patrician III: Rise of the Hanse

Patrician III is a real-time trading simulation with elements of construction and historical background of maritime trade in Northern Europe around 1300. As a resident of a medieval city, your goal is to rise from the status of a simple, insignificant merchant to that of a patrician and perhaps even become the head of the Hanseatic League. You can increase your prestige through city beautification and diplomacy or fill your coffers through piracy and smuggling.
