Pac-Attack
Pac-Attack is based on the Japanese arcade puzzle Cosmo Gang the Puzzle by Namco and is similar to many block-drop puzzle games from that time, such as Puyo Puyo. The object of the game is to place ghosts and blocks, arranged in a three-piece L-shape, so that Pac-Man can eat as many ghosts as possible after three or more pieces (replacing one of the pieces) to try to clear the board. Pac-Man's direction is randomly chosen between left and right, but as he moves along the board (after you place him, of course) and bumps into a block or the "walls" of the board, he changes direction. As Pac-Man eats ghosts and clears rows of blocks, the level increases, affecting the speed and gravity of the tiles you place, as well as the number of tiles you must place before Pac-Man can appear. If you fail to place the bottom two pieces of a piece in an allowed zone of the board, the game ends. However, if you fill up a counter on the left side of the screen by eating ghosts, a fairy will be summoned instead of Pac-Man. She fits into any empty space and can clear up to 7 rows of ghosts; all the blocks that were above the cleared ghosts fall down accordingly. The game also includes a puzzle mode. It consists of 100 levels where you have to eat all the ghosts with at least 4 Pac-men (the number decreases in certain levels), and unlike the other modes, you can change Pac-Man's direction with the press of a button.
