NBA 08

NBA 08 is the third part of "The Life" series, which ends with the career of a coach called "Coach T.". The player takes control of one of Coach T.'s players and has the possibility to choose from five different characters, depending on the position he wants to play, or create his own character with 60 different scenarios. The game follows a realistic view of basketball by attending press conferences, making signings, interacting with teammates and coaches, and also addressing rivals. The choices determine how the player is viewed as either a team player or a lone troublemaker. Depending on how their player does in the games, they can receive attribute points to strengthen their players. There is also a Smart Shot Indicator that shows by color before a player takes a shot at the basket, how hard the defense is pressing, and how likely they are to miss or complete the shot. The game features updated animations and the feel of a real television broadcast with the voices of Kevin Calabro and Mark Jackson. There are mini-games like the 3-Point Shootout and the Playstation Skill Challenge, as well as online features where players can compete against each other or in tournaments.
