Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 3 is the third installment in the series. The game was announced on August 3, 2004 and released in Japan on November 20, 2004. The game covers the events of the anime, from the chunin exams to the arc "The Search for Tsunade". In this installment, the ability to change form during battle is introduced, and some characters are given a second special attack. The game also expands on the tag team mode from Clash of Ninja 2, giving players the ability to use team specials. While the game was released exclusively in Japan, there was later an improved port under the name Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution with fewer characters.
