Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull
Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull is an adventure puzzle casual game developed by Big Fish Studios and distributed by Big Fish Games. It is the seventh installment in the Mystery Case Files series. The game is available exclusively on Big Fish Games' website.
Story
Shortly after moving into a Louisiana mansion, tragedy strikes Sara Lawson and her daughter after her husband Marcus Lawson mysteriously disappears. Sara turns to you, the detective, to search for her husband and solve the mystery of the thirteenth skull. Before Marcus was kidnapped, he was obsessed with the curse and the treasure after finding a map of the estate. His daughter Magnolia believes that her father was kidnapped by the ghost of a vengeful pirate named Captain Phineas Crown, who wants to protect his lost fortune and stop anyone who tries to find it. With the locals all talking about the curse of the 13th skull and believing that Crown has been living in the mansion and burying his treasure there, Sara becomes desperate to find her husband. Later in the game, the detective finds out that the couple's real names are Alice and Dennis Blanston, and the husband was never really kidnapped. Rather, it was all a ploy to use the detective's skills to discover Captain Crown's hidden treasure. Her daughter was also involved in the whole thing. After all the revelations about the Blanstons, Dennis points a gun at the player while he or she solves puzzles to find the skulls that are the key to the pirate's fortune. Finally, the pirate ship in which the treasure is hidden suddenly rises from the swamp and the ghost of Captain Crown appears and washes away the entire Blanston family, presumably killing them. In the end, Captain Crown was destroyed when all the skulls were placed together with the bodies of the crew. The Collector's Edition of the game reveals clues about the next installment in the series.
