Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Murumasa: The Demon Blade is based on ancient Japanese lore and transports players to the mystical Genroku era, ruled by the skilled shogun Tsunayoshi Tokogawa. But this culture is threatened: Tokogawa's hunger for power leads to a conflict over the enormously powerful but cursed Demon Blades. The cursed blades, drenched in hatred and blood, condemn those who use them to tragedy, madness, and premature death. As chaos spreads, the denizens of the underworld break into their realm as these malevolent swords summon evil spirits - as well as the dragon and demon gods. With its hand-drawn 2D graphics that reflect the heritage and tone of the story, Muramasa: The Demon Blade takes players into a little-known mythology imagined by the creators of the critically acclaimed Odin Sphere. Players take on the role of a male ninja or female kunoichi and use their ninja skills to traverse the clever side-scrolling levels that progress both vertically and horizontally.
