Moon Patrol
Moon Patrol is an arcade game originally published by Irem in 1982 and later licensed by Williams (Midway) for release in North America. It is a side-scrolling shooter in which players control a six-wheeled moon rover that can jump and shoot. The goal is to traverse the entire course as quickly as possible, shooting down enemies to earn extra points. The cannons are mounted on the front and top of the vehicle and both fire simultaneously when the fire button is pressed. Rocks, mines and pits on the track prevent you from simply holding to the right for maximum speed. Rocks and mines can be shot at, but pits must be jumped over. Some enemies fire shots that create new pits in the course, forcing players to react quickly.
