Missile Command
As the regional commander of three anti-missile batteries, the player must defend six cities in his zone from destruction. The player's six cities are attacked by an endless hail of ballistic missiles, some of which even split like multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRVs). In later levels, new weapons are introduced: smart bombs that can dodge a less than perfectly aimed missile, and bomber planes and satellites that fly across the screen and shoot down missiles themselves.
