Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes
Scattered across five different regions, five special heroes must follow their own dangerous paths to gain strength, uncover a demonic conspiracy, and ultimately save the world from chaos.
Story
The game is the third title in Ubisoft's continuity of the series and is set in the fictional world of Ashan before the events of Heroes of Might and Magic V (producers Erwan Le Breton and Romain de Waubert set it 40 years before the cycle of Heroes V and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, an average of 946 years ahead of the timeline). The game's story mode revolves around the five main protagonists: Godric, Aidan, Anwen, Nadia and Fiona, who command knights, demons, elves, wizards and necromancers, respectively. Godric and Anwen were already featured as playable characters in Heroes V, while Cyrus, Findan and Markal can be seen in the screenshots. The protagonists are described as five lost children whose lives are shaken by "a mysterious demon lord with very sinister motives." This demon lord turns out to be Azh Rafir, Nadia's father, who has concocted a mad plan to use a powerful artifact called the Blade of Binding to open the gates to the demon world of Sheogh and plunge Ashan into chaos. In Fiona's story, he is shown to worship Urgash, the Dragon of Chaos. In Aidan's story, Aidan is also shown to have unwittingly taken the Blade of Binding. After the revelation that her own father has destroyed her life and that of her friends, the heartbroken Nadia decides to fight Azh Rafir in his demon lord form at the climax of the story. After defeating him, she destroys the Blade of Binding and finally thwarts his plan, bringing peace to Ashan.
