Metal Marines
Metal Marines is an isometric strategy game. The player controls one side of a conflict and must lead a campaign across several islands to defeat Zorgeuf and his lieutenants. The player controls the logistics of the base to ensure that the necessary resources are available for the war. On each map, the player places three underground command bases, if these are all destroyed, the battle is lost. The player must manage the resources of their money to construct new buildings or upgrade existing facilities on the map. The various buildings include power plants, factories, economic centers, radar systems, anti-aircraft missiles, mock buildings and mock headquarters, minefields, gun pods, missile launchers, metal naval hangars and even ICBMs. The player can order an attack at any time and choose which installations to fire at the enemy. Missiles, Metal Marines carriers and ICBMs all consume different amounts of fuel. Metal Marines stationed in an area will automatically fire their guns at nearby targets or take out even closer targets in close combat. Gunpods also fire at nearby enemies from a standing position. Metal Marines are largely autonomous, but can be manually controlled by the player to a limited extent (change of direction).
