Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction

In the final years of his rule, North Korean President Choi Kim sought reconciliation with his southern neighbor, with the goal of reunifying the country. However, his son, General Choi Song, and the military clique under his leadership disagreed with the old man's views. Eventually, Choi Song orchestrated the assassination of his own father, took control of North Korea, and severed ties with the outside world. Eventually, plans surfaced to build a nuclear reactor. China, South Korea, the Allied nations, and even the Russian mafia sent troops into North Korea, vying for power in the troubled region. A bounty of one hundred million dollars was placed on General Song's head. This is where the mercenaries come in. Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction is a free-roaming, open-ended war action and driving game set in a large world. The player can choose to control one of three mercenary protagonists, each with their own strengths: Chris Jacobs from North America can deal more damage, Jennifer Mui from Hong Kong can camouflage well, and Mattias Nilsson from Sweden can run faster than the others. Each of the mercenaries also speaks different languages, which makes him or her more or less suitable for working with certain factions. Players have free rein over a vast landscape to place bounties on the "Deck of 52," a list of the most wanted criminals in North Korea, as well as a number of factions. Each faction offers the player resources such as vehicles and supplies, as well as missions that the player can use to earn money. When the player makes a faction happy, it offers him information about the locations of various bounties from the deck. Players have a variety of resources at their disposal to get the job done. It is possible to commandeer tanks, helicopters and other military equipment to blow up the destructible landscape in North Korea.
