Men of War: Condemned Heroes

Men of War: Condemned Heroes tells the story of one of the infamous Soviet punishment battalions during World War II. These battalions are famous for being formed under Stalin's order 227 "Don't take a step back". They consisted of officers who were court-martialed and given a chance to make up in blood for their crimes or incompetence by serving as the lowest soldiers in a battalion assigned to the most dangerous tasks. Many myths surround the image of these battalions, and this game tells the truth about these regiments, based on real evidence of their former members. Take command of one of these infamous companies and lead them to victory against all odds through most of the war on the Eastern Front. Fight from the desperate 1942 battles in the Volyn area of Ukraine, through the massive Operation "Bagration" in the Brest area, the bridgehead at Magnush and the Warsaw area in Poland, to the assaults on the German Altdam and Szczecin near the end of the war.
