Mega Man X3
Mega Man X and his faithful partner Zero are up against a new force to be reckoned with. Who or what has triggered an uprising of Mavericks in the experimental utopia Doppler Town? Doppler Town, named after the Reploid scientist, was supposed to be a place where humans and Reploids could live in harmony. After discovering a virus that turned Reploids into Mavericks, Doppler's antivirus was a huge success. But Doppler was infected with the virus himself and assembled a team to take out the Maverick hunter units. The Doppler effect is imminent, and Mega Man X and Zero are the only cure for the deadly virus!
Story
Zero, who had returned as an irregular hunter, became the commander of the Zero Special Forces Unit and continued to hunt irregulars together with X, who was active as the commander of the 17th Elite Unit, and other hunters of the unit. At the same time, Dr. Doppler, a Repliloid-type scientist, conducted research that uncovered the fact that the computer virus "Sigma Virus" was the cause of Irregulars, developed a special antibody virus, and proposed injecting it into Repliloids. As a result, the number of irregularities decreased. In addition, Dr. Doppler declared that he would build "Doppeltown", a peaceful city where humans and replicants could live together, and he won the support of both humans and replicants. A few months later, however, Doppler and his Repliroids, who had been infected with the aforementioned antibody virus, rebelled. The Irregular Hunters recognized Doppler and the participants in the rebellion as Irregulars, and X and Zero were ordered into action.
