Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter

Story

The video game is based on a manga by Go Nagai. The story is set in a different universe from the original Mazinger story and begins in 1999 AD, when God Emperor Hell launched an all-out invasion to control the Earth with the help of powerful giants called "bio-beasts". Mazinger Z in Mazin Saga is actually not a robot, but an armor. This armor can transform into a giant version of itself and allows Mazinger Z to fight against the Bio-Beasts. The design of Mazinger Z in Mazin Saga is different from the other Mazingers. Here, Mazinger Z is all blue and not black and white like the others. Colored orbs are attached to Mazinger Z's crown and torso. In many cases, Mazinger Z wears a red cape and his only weapon in battle is a sword, similar to God Mazinger. Characters from the original Mazinger Z series play a role once again in Mazin Saga, although somewhat differently than in the anime/manga. Dr. Hell appears in Mazin Saga as God Kaiser Hell. Koji Kabuto still plays the protagonist, but has a darker, more serious personality than in the anime and manga versions of Mazinger Z. Even Garada K7, one of the first enemies Mazinger Z fought in the original series, reappears as Bio Beast.
