The Soul Cloud - stores your past to secure your future. Master Reboot is a haunting sci-fi horror game set in the Soul Cloud. It is an exploration game with action and puzzle elements, set in 34 unique environments. In a not-too-distant future, there exists the Soul Cloud, a huge server that stores the data of your soul and your memories when you die. The Soul Cloud is made up of floating islands. Each island looks like a city, village or town with rooms, skyscrapers and houses where people's memories are stored. To house your soul, a family member (or yourself, before you die) must buy an island on the Soul Cloud, where the server generates rooms, houses or skyscrapers that contain every single memory from the deceased's past. The game features a distinctive visual style, a compelling story, psychological adventure game action and a dynamic, atmospheric soundtrack. Story
When you start the game, your identity is unknown. You are simply a digital image of who you used to be when you were alive, transferred into an endless network of other people's memories, the Soul Cloud. The beginning of your transfer to your new digital existence is simple: you're on a monorail that takes you to your new home, a place where you can live out all your favorite memories for all time. But something is different... a feeling of dread overcomes you and something strange happens, causing you to pass out. You wake up on a deserted beach, not knowing who you are or where you are, and get up. As you look around, everything you knew before seems to have been erased from your memory. Why did this happen? Did someone do this on purpose? If so, was it meant for you or someone else? It is up to you to piece together your memories to find out all these answers by solving the puzzles in each memory from your past, which are in their own spaces. However, this is not an easy task, because not only are the puzzles very difficult, but you are also being pursued by the anti-virus of the Soul Cloud, which believes that you are the cause of all these "problems" in the network. With each solved puzzle, a memory will be unlocked that will reveal more about your life when you were alive: a walk on the beach, a visit to loved ones you no longer know, and the confrontation with demons that have manipulated your career and existence. Once you put all your memories together, the narrative and the game will lead you to a dramatic climax that will provide you with the answers you are looking for, but also ask the question about the nature of life and your creations that will catch up with you again.
