Mario Party 8
Mario Party 8 is the eighth installment of the Mario Party series on a home console and the first Mario Party game for Wii. Mario Party 8 features heavy use of the Wii Remote and its motion controls in the mini-games. Instead of traditional button and joystick controls, players must perform various gestures. Common movements include pointing and shooting, shaking, waving, twisting and turning the Wii Remote. In this game, there are player-created Miis that often appear in crowds. Miis can appear in certain mini-games and also act as the player's character in Extra Mode. By playing regular party games, mini-games, and completing the Star Battle Arena mode, players earn Carnival Cards that they can spend to unlock characters and game features.
