Loco-Motion

Loco-Motion is basically an updated version of a sliding block puzzle game, in which the player can move pieces horizontally or vertically within a frame to complete a picture. However, the presence of a constantly moving locomotive complicates things. The player controls the playing field and the goal is to steer the locomotive across the tracks to collect the passengers waiting at the stations at the edge of the screen. Using the joystick, the player pushes a piece of the track onto the open field. The locomotive is always moving, but the player has the option to make it move faster to reach the passengers faster by using a button next to the joystick. The player must avoid driving the locomotive into the dead-end barricades (shown as a yellow "X"), and must also be careful not to drive it into the edge of the gap or a barrier on the edge of the playing field, both of which cost a life.
