From Valve (the makers of Counter-Strike, Half-Life and others) comes Left 4 Dead, a co-op action horror game for PC and Xbox 360 that sends up to four players into an epic battle for survival against swarming zombie hordes and terrifying mutant monsters. Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D's survival co-op mode has you blazing a trail through the infected in four unique "movies." You'll lead your survivors across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns and pitch-black forests to escape a devastated ground zero teeming with infected enemies. Each "movie" consists of five major maps and can be played by one to four human players, with an emphasis on team-based strategy and objectives. A new technology called the "AI Director" ensures that you'll have a unique gameplay experience every time you play. The Director adjusts the frequency and ferocity of zombie attacks based on your performance, putting you in the middle of a fast-paced but not overwhelming Hollywood horror movie. The addictive single-player, co-op and multiplayer action gameplay from the creators of Counter-Strike and Half-Life Versus Mode will have four of you competing against your friends, either as a human trying to be rescued or as a zombie boss monster that will stop at nothing to destroy them.
