Laser Blast
The aim of Laser Blast is to destroy a series of land-based opponents. The player controls a fleet of flying saucers, each of which operates individually. There are three mobile laser bases on the planet's surface, which are guarded by an invisible force field that prevents the player's saucer from getting too close to the surface. Both the player and the enemy bases are armed with laser blasters, each of which can only fire a single continuous beam. If the player's saucer is hit, it loses altitude and crashes to the ground. However, the player can steer this fall and possibly hit one of the bases, which will then also be destroyed. Each subsequent wave of enemy bases moves faster and targets the player's saucers faster, while the force field becomes stronger and reduces the space in which the saucer can move. For each base destroyed, the player receives points, which increase with each wave up to a maximum of 90 points per base. For every 1000 points, players receive additional flying saucers and can keep a maximum of six additional saucers in reserve. When the score of 999,999 points is reached, the digits of the score turn into exclamation marks and the game ends.
