Kid Icarus: Uprising
One of the most popular game series in Nintendo's long history returns in spectacular 3D! Pit from Kid Icarus returns in a new game developed specifically for the Nintendo 3DS system by Masahiro Sakurai, creator of Kirby and Super Smash Bros, and his development team at Project Sora. Kid Icarus: Uprising is a fast-paced and action-packed mix of aerial and ground combat based on elegant, intuitive and optimized game controls. The sequel to Kid Icarus, released in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, has been at the top of gamers' wish lists for years. With its easy-to-learn but incredibly deep gameplay, the game will satisfy both newcomers and fans who have long waited for a new installment in the series. The hero Pit teams up with Palutena, the goddess of light, who gives him the miracle of flying for a limited time. With this gift, Pit flies through the air and shoots down swarms of enemies before landing and plunging into fierce ground battles against Medusa's underworld army. Find and collect numerous weapons and items that offer bonuses and ability boosts. Players can choose weapons before sending Pit into battle, so they can use a myriad of strategies in each level. Players can choose between a simple blade, simple claws, and a simple Orbitar weapon. The blades are well-balanced, the claws have a limited range but increase the running speed, and the orbitars can fire two shots that get stronger the further away they get.
