KARAKARA
Karakara is a bishoujo visual novel set in an alternate, dystopian world where the comfortable and tranquil lives of Leon and Lucia, two hard-working diner owners, take an interesting twist of fate when they discover an unconscious young woman on the side of the highway. Together, the three take a bold step forward to begin a new life in a world reborn. Karakara. It is the sound of dryness. It is the sound of dry asphalt and sandy winds. It is the sound of the relentless sun, but also the sound of a withering people. The "Age of Dawn." It is a time of aging of the human species, when the hybrids, the "others" who are human but not human, live in great numbers. In the windswept wastelands of a land without moisture, a small group of people make a living in a world that no longer knows them. Along a stretch of highway and far from the center of town, two of these people run a small diner. For them, the circumstances that have changed their world are far less important than the number of lunches they can load into their delivery vehicle. After all, it's not good for business if customers stay hungry, and business keeps them going. Day after day, they keep themselves busy with the endless work in their diner. The pleasant monotony of their daily routine is turned upside down, however, when they discover a large suitcase on the side of the road on their way home from delivery. On top of the suitcase lies motionless a young girl with pink hair.... Although parched, they keep each other company, and although they were once hollow, they fill each other's gaps. This is how they will live in this land so dry.
