Kantai Collection
Kantai Collection is a Japanese free-to-play browser game. The game is about forming squadrons made up of individual characters represented as cards with different characteristics, and then sending these squadrons on missions. All the characters are moe anthropomorphisms of World War II warships, represented as cute girls called "Fleet Girls". These personified warships are based on real ships, which are explained in detail in the game; each girl's physical features, appearance, and personality are somewhat similar to the real ship (for example, ships with a larger displacement tonnage are usually portrayed as older girls with more mature bodies, while smaller ships have petite and underdeveloped figures, with a few exceptions). The player takes on the role of an admiral and organizes his/her fleets in battle to win. Combat is largely automated, and the player's manual actions include micromanagement such as building and repairing.
Story
The "Shipgirls" are girls who carry the souls of the naval ships of the past in their bodies. They are the only ones who can stand up to the "Deep Sea Dwellers", a group of enemy ships born from the bottom of the sea, and they are in battle to protect the people and the sea. But faced with the overwhelming mass of the deep sea fleet, they were either wounded or killed, and the tide of war quickly turned. In the midst of all this, the destroyer "Shigure" was assigned to a new fleet. The new fleet she was assigned to is the "First Ranger Unit" and her "Third Unit" (1YB3H). However, the fleet was a "mishmash" of the old battleships "Yamashiro" and " Fusou", which had been deployed in the rear area, and the only other ship, the aircraft cruiser "Mogami", as well as four destroyers. As part of a mission to reclaim their lives with all their remaining forces, Shigure and the other 1YB3Hs set off into the doomed strait to cover the main force, using a decoy of sorts.
