Juiced
Juiced is a racing game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and cell phone. The game's release was delayed in 2004 because its original publisher, Acclaim, went bankrupt. Juice Games and Fund 4 Games retained ownership of the game and sold it to THQ, which funded the project for another six months of improvement. In early 2006, British software publisher Focus Multimedia re-released the PC version of Juiced as part of its "Essential" game series at a new, low price. The game features several modes, including Career and Arcade, which present the player with challenges of increasing difficulty. Players can customize their car to their style and unlock new cars in Arcade mode. The game features nitrogen boosts, similar to other racing games. Juiced landed at number one on the MCV sales chart in the UK and its first version sold 2.5 million copies.
Story
There are four different race types: circuit (standard race with laps), point-to-point (single lap), sprint (drag race) and showoff (timed race). The player's reputation fluctuates with his/her victories and defeats, and he/she receives rewards to increase his/her reputation.
