Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a platform game from 2009 that was developed by High Impact Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is the sixth and final game in the Jak and Daxter series. The player takes on the role of Jak, the angst-ridden hero who has been strengthened by his contact with Light and Dark Eco. When their world runs out of Eco, Jak and Keira travel to the edge of the world in search of the ancient Precursor machines that could reverse the planet's decline. However, they are not the only ones interested in the Brink; Jak must contend with the Sky Pirates while controlling his own Eco powers.

Story

In the midst of an eco-storm, sky pirates attack the Hellcat, forcing Jak to fight off the attackers who rappel down to their ship via a large pirate ship, the Phantom Blade. Keira manages to drop one pirate from the ship, while Jak engages in a fistfight with the other, who calls himself Captain Phoenix. Jak loses and tries to transform into Dark Jak, but fails due to eco-instability, which causes him great pain. Phoenix witnesses Jak's transformation attempt and realizes that there are more people like Jak and prepares to shoot him to kill him. Daxter manages to drive Phoenix away by shooting at him with the Hellcat's tail gun, but he also shoots at their own ship, causing a fuel leak and forcing Keira to crash-land on Brink Island.
