Into the Radius is a single-player survival shooter developed exclusively for premium virtual reality headsets. The game is a gritty mix of eldritch horror, open-world exploration, realistic weapon handling, and a compelling story that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the post-apocalyptic Pechorsk Radius Zone. Life and death intertwine in the radius, and somewhere in the middle of it all lurks the answer to a question you can't quite remember. Through the flickering memories of your murky life as a former Pechorsk resident and current UNSPC specialist, your only way to survive is to stalk your way through the strange and threatening zone and complete the missions assigned to you. Shoot fast and take cover Take cover and beware of the threats around you. Gunplay and real-world bullet physics will keep you on your toes. Featuring classics like the Pistolet Makarova, the Double Barrel Shotgun and the AKM Kalashnikov. The interaction of the weapons is based on their real-life counterparts. Handling, aiming and reloading are done with similar movements as in the real world. The weapons have unique ammunition and matching attachments, but must be well cared for or they will jam! Interesting story Since the mysterious and deadly Pechorsk Radius emerged, it has been the most discussed topic in the media, science and politics. Rumors, conspiracies, and legends slowly began to emerge, speaking of wondrous artifacts, deadly anomalies, and bizarre entities inhabiting the once quiet mining town. Today, interest has died down, and the exclusion zone around the Pechorsk radius remains completely closed to the public. Only authorized personnel of the UN Special Committee on Pechorsk know what the radius really is. Hardcore gameplay We have put the players' skills at the center of the game. To survive in the Radius, you'll have to choose the right equipment for your journey, find your way around the dangerous terrain, and figure out what anomalies exist so you can achieve your goals. Explore extraordinary landscapes Fifteen years after the Pechorsk event, the radius is almost completely abandoned and stands as an isolated and devastated area. There are miles of forests and dilapidated industrial ruins that you can explore at your leisure. Be warned: the radius is full of deadly anomalies, and rumor has it that there are hostile forces that threaten anyone foolish or daring enough to risk their lives exploring the radius.
