Imperivm III: Great Battles of Rome
Imperivm: Great Battles of Rome is a sequel to the RPG/RTS games Celtic Kings: Rage of War and Celtic Kings: The Punic Wars. The game, released in May 2005, was developed by Haemimont. The game includes different civilizations to choose from, including: Rome (imperial and republican), Egypt, Germania, Britannia, Iberia, Gaul and Carthage. It has a more sophisticated hero system than its predecessor. The game focuses on tactics, troop mobility and terrain topography rather than sheer strength of numbers to win battles. Although resources are important, gathering them is less important than in other real-time combat games. Instead of sending out an army of servants to mine resources, cut down wood, gather food, or collect other resources, they are generated at a constant rate that is directly proportional to the inhabitants of a population center. There are 3 player modes to choose from: Conquest: in this game, the objective is to build an empire by conquering the entire known ancient world. To do this, the player can choose one of the available civilizations (see below). Rome's Greatest Battles: A lot of attention has been paid to historical accuracy, not only in the graphics, but also in the storyline of these ready-made scenarios, in which the player can relive the decisive moments of Rome, from the Battle of Zama, which marked the final and decisive end of the Second Punic War, to the rebellion of Marcus Antonius and Cleopatra. Custom Game: This feature is ubiquitous in modern real-time tactics and strategy games and can be used to practice against computer opponents in self-created scenarios or compete online against other human players.
