Story

"The island had a custom. To keep the peace, a sacrifice was made once a decade to a fiend on the island. One year, however, the ogre became violent before the next sacrifice was due. The islanders were afraid and tried to appease the ogre by making a sacrifice: Setsuna, who was chosen for her magical powers. Setsuna must set off with her guardians to the farthest land, where the sacrificial ceremony will take place."
