Story

In the wake of political developments in the summer of 2016 and subsequent events, the United Kingdom became increasingly isolated from global society. Frustrated by the decline of this once great nation, Her Majesty the Queen concluded that the elected representatives in Westminster were no longer capable of governing her United Kingdom. After dissolving Parliament and returning the United Kingdom to autocratic government, immediate and far-reaching improvements were called for. However, as a pragmatist, Her Majesty concluded that, given the complications facing the United Kingdom as she returned to power, perhaps it was time to turn her attention elsewhere.... With the creation of S.P.I.F.F.I.N.G. (Special Planetary Investigative Force For Inhabiting New Galaxies), Her Majesty turned to the stars to establish a new, galactic British Empire! You take command of the near-futuristic starship HMSS Imperialise and its crew (distinguished veteran and gentleman Captain Frank Lee English and Aled, his mild-mannered South Wales colleague) and venture into the cosmos to solve puzzles, play witty banter, deal with crippling claustrophobia, gradually succumb to persistent cosmic radiation, and so on - all for Queen and country. And maybe along the way you'll meet a few other folks moving through the cosmos with their own intergalactic ambitions....
