Grand Prix 3
Grand Prix 3 (GP3) is a computer racing simulator from MicroProse. It was released in 2000 by Hasbro Interactive and shows the 1998 Formula 1 season (with all the drivers except Jacques Villeneuve, who was replaced by a fictional character, John Newhouse). The game wasn't quite as well received as its predecessors, but at the time it was considered the best racing simulation on the market. An expansion of the game, called GP3-2000 or GP32k, was released by Hasbro and brought the game up to speed for the 2000 Formula 1 season. Some other changes were also made, such as: updated damage physics, including damage from debris on the track, improved AI, a new replay system and EAX-3D sound. Since the release of Grand Prix 4, GP3's modding scene has slowly declined and with the removal of track editing for GP4, many modders have abandoned GP3 in favor of the newer title.
